March 22, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Irvine FC as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Irvine, CA, Irvine FC will begin UPSL play in the Western Conference SoCal Division.

Irvine FC is operated by Cyrus Safari and Shayan Hesabi. The club will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

UPSL Western Conference Manager Gary Brunner said, "We are happy to welcome Irvine FC to the SoCal Division for this Spring Season. Orange County is the birthplace of the UPSL, and so it's great to see clubs continuing to dream and grow and achieve in the UPSL's SoCal Division. Cyrus and Shayan are determined to be successful, and we wish them luck in their first season in the UPSL."

Safari serves as Head Coach. Hesabi is the Team Captain.

"We are so excited to start and we have a big dream of moving forward," Hesabi said. "We choose the UPSL because it is the top competitive league in Southern California and we want to move forward to competing against the best clubs in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup."

The club will announce its game schedule in the coming weeks.
