September 24, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to welcome Olimpia FC as its newest member.

Based in Denver, CO, Olimpia FC began UPSL play with the 2020 Fall Season as part of the Colorado Division. The club hosts its UPSL home games at Thornton High School (9351 Washington St., Thornton, CO 80229).

UPSL Colorado Division Manager David Ramirez said, "We are pleased to announce Olimpia FC as a member of the Colorado Division. They're a really competitive club that is fast and good, with a lot of young players. They're doing things right and they're looking to be a top team in this division."

Brothers Fernando and Franklin Mendez are co-Owners of Olimpia FC. Gabriel Mendoza serves as Head Coach. Roger Martinez is Assistant Coach.

"The reason we joined the UPSL is to be a part of the top Pro Development league in the United States. Being a member of the UPSL means being in the best league to develop players. The UPSL gets players to where they want to be and we're excited for the opportunity ahead of us," Franklin Mendez said.

Olimpia FC (1-1-0) opened its inaugural season with a 2-0 loss to Logrones SC on Saturday, Sept. 12, and followed with a 3-2 win over Club El Azul on Saturday, Sept. 19. The club plays Indios Denver SC at Thornton High School at 6 p.m. MT on Friday, Sept. 25.
