December 4, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Florida Fusion Soccer Club as a member kicking off with the 2020 Spring Season.

Based in Doral (Fla.), Florida Fusion SC will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida South Division II, and host its UPSL homes games at Doral Meadows Park (11555 NW 58th St., Doral, FL 33178) and Morgan Levy Park (5300 NW 102nd Ave., Doral, FL 33178) in compliance with UPSL National Division standards.

United Premier Soccer League Florida Division Manager Christian Vallejos said, "We're excited to welcome Florida Fusion SC to the Florida South Division II. This is a club built on years of local competition, and they're ready for another level. It's a pleasure to have Victor Belandria and his group out of Doral in the UPSL. Good luck to Florida Fusion SC as the team kicks off in the Spring."

Florida Fusion SC is the next step for Guaros FC, a club with previous experience in the Miami Beach Soccer League and various South Florida-based leagues. Florida Fusion SC will exclusively compete in the UPSL.

Daniel Castillo and Wilfredo Melendrez manage Florida Fusion SC. Alfredo del Toro and David Garcia serves as coaches.

Florida Fusion SC President Victor Belandria said, "We chose UPSL because we know it is a serious league where our young players can expose their game and reach other clubs or universities. We see in the UPSL an opportunity accessible to all."

Florida Fusion SC is in the planning stages as it creates a youth academy with competitive programs for boys and girls of all ages.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 500-plus teams targeted for 2020 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
