May 4, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Vallejo United Gladiators Soccer Club as its newest expansion club ahead of the 2021 Fall Season.

Based in Vallejo, CA, Vallejo United Gladiators SC will begin UPSL play in the Western Conference Wild West Division. The club will host its home games at Corbus Field on the campus of Vallejo High School (840 Nebraska St., Vallejo, CA 94590).

Julio Escobar and Eliza Yabut are the Owners of Vallejo United Gladiators SC. The team will participate exclusively in the UPSL.

UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We are excited to welcome Vallejo United Gladiators Soccer Club to the UPSL. The club has previously played competitively at the youth and adult level in the NorCal Premier League and the La Liga NorCal. We wish Vallejo United success as the team prepares to make its UPSL debut this fall."

Agustin Nuno is the Vice President and Head Coach of Vallejo United Gladiators SC. Julio Escobar and Mauricio Fernandez are the Assistant Coaches.

"There are a lot of talented players in Vallejo but don't get the chance because of low-income status or because people think badly of Vallejo and don't come out to see players to scout them," Mauricio Fernandez said. "The club plans with the UPSL team to give the city some light and help players get opportunities that they thought were a long shot."

The club will announce its UPSL fixture calendar.

Vallejo United Gladiators SC is an American Soccer club currently based in Vallejo, CA, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Vallejo United Gladiators SC will begin play in the UPSL's Western Conference.

Founded in 2021, Vallejo United Gladiators SC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
