UPSL NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: NTX Legends FCs Roel Alexis Martinez

July 30, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – NTX Legends FC goalkeeper Roel Alexis Martinez has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.

A native of El Paso, TX, Martinez posted two shutouts - including a 3-0 victory in a UPSL 2020 Spring Season Central Conference North Division game on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Martinez played 90 minutes and made four saves for NTX Legends FC (3-0-1 overall) in the win.

Martinez has recorded four shutouts in four games this season for NTX Legends FC. A graduate of Timber Creek High School in Fort Worth, TX, Martinez was a member of the Dallas Texas Development Academy. He recently completed his freshman season at Lee University (NCAA) in Cleveland, TN.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.
