Feburary 8, 2020 - Miami Shores, FL - The first 30 minutes popped for Soda City FC, but it all fizzled out of control in the end.

Davis Bryan and Izzy Evans had first-half goals, but Maryland Bobcats FC scored three times unanswered in a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Soda City FC in a UPSL National Semifinal at Buccaneer Field on the campus of Barry University.

Maryland Bobcats FC, which began the season as 'World Class Premier Elite' before re-branding late in 2019, fell behind early as Soda City FC took advantage of spaces in the defense to take a 2-0 lead after.

Bryan got his opportunity while running through the opponents' backline in the 27th minute, finishing first time with a sweeping right-footed shot. Evans' goal came at close range 2 minutes later when he cleaned up a spilled save from Bobcats goalkeeper Joel Isyaq.

Late in the first half, Banjo pulled a goal back for Maryland Bobcats FC when he broke lines and slotted a shot past Soda City FC goalkeeper Jack Pondy.

Maryland Bobcats FC pressed numbers into the attack in the second half in an attempt find an equalizer in the highly-anticipated matchup and unofficial 'UPSL East Final', and Elton Joe did not disappoint, using a first touch to get wide of Pondy before firing into the net from an acute angle in the 48th minute.

With time waning in the second half, Maryland Bobcats FC's lauded teamwork was on display, breaking down the Soda City FC defense once more with a series of slick passes. Levi Houapeu found Pilawe Pato wide open 10 yards in front of goal and Pato did the rest, rolling it inside far post as Pondy dove to cover the near side.
